Philadelphia 76er’s Kyle Korver has a jump shot so fluid and smooth that he makes even the most pressure shots look effortless. With machine-like consistency Kyle is more than a good 3-point shooter; he’s one of the best in the NBA.
In his first year in the league Kyle’s lightning-quick release and sniper-like accuracy earned him the honor of being the first Rookie ever invited to compete in the NBA Three-Point Contest. In his second season, Kyle led the entire league in 3 pointers making 226 baskets from behind the arc, a new franchise record for the Sixers.
As multidimensional as Kyle is as a player he’s even more so as a person. He constantly finds time to participate in many charitable activities. Kyle’s strong moral foundation instilled by his deep faith and tight-knit family allows him to always remain "the boy next door".
Kyle is a perfect fit for the Goalsetter Advisory Council, being from Pella, Iowa and playing on a Goalsetter goal in his backyard while growing up. Kyle started the “Kyle Korver Foundation” in 2006 to help underprivileged children and has become one of the fan favorites with his “Kyle’s Coat Drive” held annually at a Sixers home game. Goalsetter joined in Kyle’s mission in 2007 where Kyle donates Goalsetter goals to school playgrounds and parks in and around the Philadelphia area.
